Question
We have a 5-month old Yellow lab that is very smart, playful, and loveable. However, she does not bark. We have had her for the past 2 1/2 months and have never heard her bark. She only wines a little very rarely. Have you ever heard of this and should we be concerned?
Answer
Actually, barking is a learned behavior. Some breeds are just more vocal than others. Please be happy she hasn't learned just the opposite behavior - this one is much better! She will find his/her voice soon enough.
