Puppies should start their first set of vaccinations between 6-8 weeks of age. This is when they lose any immunity they my have had from their mothers. Then, your puppy will need a booster set of shots every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. At this time they can have their rabies booster. Their vaccinations will be annual after this time. Have your regular veterinarian do a thorough health examination on your puppy prior to having them vaccinated to ensure a healthy start.
